I was messing with this this morning, and I figured out if you get a short sound (I used a SFX from luigis mansion) converted to MP3 128kbps renamed to BOOT.MP3... it doesnt play... which is good, because now there is NO start up sound

But renaming an MP3 to SOUND.BIN and putting it in the BLES80608/usrdir folders does work for changing the theme audio

now, I haven't asked a stupid question for a long time so here goes..

I'm sitting on 4.14.xx; will I need to do a bigger BASE update and then the 4.18.0X update or can I just slide on over and download the update from mM?

Been so long since I've done this

Looking forward to this. I'm still on 4.06 lol.

I've been really busy the last few months, but have tried to follow the scene whenever possible. I want to ask, considering all that's happened in the last few months, does anyone know if there's currently any efforts being made in getting PS2 backups to work on compatible PS3s, without the need of tools such as Cobra or Swap Magic?

I figured that since the Cobra allowed you to do this, and that DUPLEX has been releasing all the patches, that there would soon be a release for PS2 backup support? But I haven't seen anything yet.

I do know that Deank experimented with this in Multiman before, but a lot has changed since then.
