This pic is from a CECH-25xx series. Very easy, and is actually what e3 flasher is designed for. Sometimes I think they only tested on this model.

But mine is like this :
This pic is from a CECH-20xx. These are common with the Samsung Nor, that is a pain to get the clip on good.

To get on that Samsung chip, you need to shave the plastic off only on the one side. Like this: >CLICK HERE<
On your pics, your corner where the resistor hits, is not shaved enough.
You also need to make sure to clean all the plastic shavings off. Blow them off. Use Isopropyl alcohol to clean the Nor chip legs, and the pins on the clip.
Then tape it down with strong tape, and put something like 2 nickels wrapped in duct tape, side by side evenly over the clip. Put back into the metal cage carefully, and screw it all together.
Works first try every time for me.

I actually wonder if I sanded too much, I used a knife first and then a nail file but yeah have you sanded on both side or only one?

Thanks, tried what you told me I sanded a lot lot lot lol I don't think I can even sand a bit. It doesn't touch the resistor at all anymore but it still doesn't fit properly and still doesn't work 10001100

I'm deseperate I'm waiting a new clip thought

A new clip isn't gonna help. You will just be starting over with modifying it.

You should just solder the e3 linker, if you can't get the clip to work.

I know the clip is a pain on those models. But I get a good dump first try. Because I did what I told you. If you can't do it, learn to solder.

I really did it seriously but I bet it is because i've done it on the 2 sides from start :/ It is really really sanded now so much that the clip open x) But I think I just damaged because I squezed it hardly last time :S

Btw I heard we couldn't flash multiple PS3 using E3 Flasher unless soldering nor tristate and patching a backup and flash it using fun mode, is that right? if so I had not noticed. I also read we could flash multiple PS3 using Samsung update, does it only works with Samsung nor chip?

I have done about 250 or so PS3s, with my E3 flasher. The only time you have to solder nor tristate is if you are fixing a bricked PS3.

You should really research more about the device you are using. Read here.

Wow :o that many PS3 !? Then you must know what you're talking about.. I just really don't understand what's going on, the wire must be working otherwise the lights on the E3 wouldn't light would they? I tried to unplug it from the motherboard and they closed so the E3 must be able to notice it is plugged on the Nor but why can't I get it to work.. I tape it really hardly plus with cents or anything I can find that could fit it just wont work :S The worse in that story is that I did it once on this PS3 a while a go and it worked (okay on the 12th attempts) but it did. Since few days I must have tried over 30 times. Have you got any trick on how do you know if the clip seems fine? I'm always able to see the nor pins whatever I do on at least one side. That's getting me mad I desesperatly want that jailbreak and I wont give up.

So yeah when I will get my new clip, I will do exactly as you told me and as it is shown on the picture, take a small screwdriver and scratch on the same side as you did to make it fit on a Samsung clip. Wish I could do it right now on my current but it is obviously too sanded to even think of scratching something :S

Just wondering, can you use the clip you scrached for Samsung on Spansion or others too or you got like 2 clip for each ?

Tracking DHL - New Clip :D

Edit 1 :

Here http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/E3#Make_a_NOR_backup they got a picture with the motherboard and all without the cage. Plus the fan is there too, I wonder how they actually have done that, I take appart my PS3 (of course half appart) everytime. I could have done the same thing but without the fan, actually wondering how they got it there. How long can it last without the fan and opened before it overheat? Maybe something I shouldn't even think of trying ?

Edit 2:

Here are some picture of my clip, as you can see we can see the pins throught the plastic now :S Next time I will do it right exactly 100% like you said, the thing was that I had started sanding before even coming on the forum :S

You need a big amount of pressure on the clip.
