Yeah, I like the idea(Modular design). Just think a steam console is pointless, anyone who likes steam will have a PC already. I'd say a steam console might sell a few million, just can't see it been any bigger.

I mean as a PC owner, I wouldn't ditch my PC to buy the steam console.

Agreed, it's a nice idea but usually you pay a premium for nice ideas. The whole making a pc into a console is a pretty moot idea, game consoles are trying to be more versatile like PCs and then they are trying to market PCs being more simplified into being a console. So what are we seeing? The large companies in bidding wars for the AAA titles even though the other systems/ports could run them just fine. This is where I love the Ouya, it's meant for indie devs that don't have to pay microsoft/sony gross amounts of money for their dev kits and licensing and with only $100 price tag on it, I think that's pretty fair. Let us not forget that this is helping to open a whole new market of devs and new ideas, not all of us want just another run of the mill FPS war. New ideas from new devs not being told by corporations what to make is how we will find fresh ideas for games, oh and don't worry, as soon as they take off Microsoft and Sony will be throwing fists of money at them to try and make the devs next game exclusive to their console.

I cant wait to get my hands on Ouya. Love the price, love the concept, love that its android, love that its open source and openly hackable. If one video of a game freezing while its still kind of in the dev stages, is going to stop you from buying it after hearing those features, Id say that is pretty fan boyish

as for the screen on the ouya, i wouldnt worry so early in development and to be honest, most who buy it wont be too worried about the games but rather the other possibilities of the device. advertising it as a console always seemed a little odd to me

i cant wait to get one and set it up as my plex box to replace my roku

i would love a steam box though. im not really a pc gamer but if the games were optomized for console style play then ill be all in. armchair gaming is my thing. controllers pwn kb/mouse for me and i know i can use controllers on my pc but its not the same as slouching in a chair and playing on my tv

i think steambox will be very popular.

the graphics card is nice though... even if they dont say which one they only say 7000er series

well if you buy that in 2 years you need a new one
i bet my broken USB-WLAN-Stick for that :D

EDIT: what about RAM? and i dont think it only uses 40 watt... on a pc with quad core CPU and amd 7000er series you need 450 watt....
so how the fuk is that possible?
