@spirosvii thanks for the feedback regarding FBA default ROM folder.
Yes i have tried retroarch, same results.

This is the best that i can describe it - i load up the emulator from xmb. the home screen for the emulator comes up where you can pick the location of your saved games but none of the buttons on the controller do anything. I cant scroll up or down, x or r3 does nothing as well.

the only button that does anything is the playstation button which asks me if i want to quit the emulator.

I am at a total loss here and would really like to get it sorted out. Are there any settings anywhere that need to be changed ? Does the QA Toggle have anything to do with anything ? I tried running that and it keeps coming up with an error saying 'an error occurred when starting'

Now i must say that ever since I installed the new Rogero firmwares that I have had problems with my controllers syncing with the ps3 and i started a thread about it. My controllers start the ps3 but do not sync until i plug a usb cable into them. Then once it is synced then i can unplug the cable and use it as normal.

Any help at all would be muchly appreciated !!

I think first you must do something with your controllers!

@pumpkinpie I've never seen this problem before. Which guide you used to install Rogero CFW?

^^ I used the guide from tortuga cove and ever since I installed the first version of rogero i have had the issue with my controllers (all of them).

but since they do sync with the usb cord then it is still wierd that the emulators arent working properly when everything else does

would a downgrade back to 3.55 with a fresh install of rogero be the best thing to do right now ?

The only time I saw something like that was when I accidentally run a homebrew while on hybrid downgrader firmware (rebug 999 downgrader)

I don't think that the CFW is the problem who the controllers doesn't work properly.

I 'm sure that you already do these simple things but just in case please check that http://www.ehow.com/how_5145494_trou...ontroller.html

Lobo, since Genplus plays Sega CD now I think it's safe to add Sega CD as well:

Mega Drive/Genesis/Sega CD (GenPlus GX)

Or whichever way you want

Done!

Thanks for the suggestion!

EDIT: Updated again: Retroarch 0.9.8 (with the most recent snes9x_next core) added to the list. Thanks again @pete_uk
