hi, I'm fairly new to this forum and the concept of hacking a ps3, so I am not as familiar with the terms. I was wondering how to convert the DEX back to CEX, even without having a CEX backup (I lost my usb the other day). Any links to helpful tutorials or explanations would be greatly appreciated. I just need to "unjailbrak" my ps3. Thanks in advance.

I can't begin to understand how you have a DEX console in the 1st place. Did you use rebug rex to obtain your DEX capabilities?? Or did you buy a dex convert console, or do you have a genuine debug console?? The more info you provide, the more help you wil recieve!

unjailbreak? just do a fw update and install ofw 4.31

he is on dex and wants to go back to cex and unjailbreak. What kind of advice is that to give him?

the howto is onboard.....do a little search
in short>
install lv2loader on 355dex p/p
run kmeaw lv2kernel from root dev_flash with lv2loader
dump ur eid_key
dump ur 355 dex flash
use cd2 v2 and convert it back to CEX flash(ur original cex targetID!!)
restore cex and install rogero 3.7
back on cex

no it won't but hey who am i..just another noob
the short guide i posted is verified and working for many with lost CEX flash
then again the linked HOWTO is another way like there are so many diff ways to Rome, anyways it works fine
