QA_Toggle won't work

History:
NAND PS3: used ProgSkeet read NAND, patch, verify, and re-programmed to get PS3 successfully on to Rogero.

Problem though: BlueRay DVD is not original, hence needs remarrying via downgrade & remarry process etc.

So, successfully downgraded to 3.55 OFW.

Then installed Rebug QA_Toggle package to de-hash. Package installed OK and appears under Games XMB.

Now the problem: Running QA_Toggle, screen goes black (good) and then NOTHING. No beeb, no return to XMB. Tried this many times.

Any advice will of course be much appreciated!

Andy

Try pulling the plug from the back power back on and try again. I normally have to give it a couple of goes after downgrade before I get the 3 beeps and returned to xmb.

in the QA there are two packeges QA flag and reset QA.
run Reset QA first and after that run QA it should work for you. it did it for me

Question

the black screen is because the BD drive isn't married? = no PKG can run, i can remember that Mushy with NANDS always used 2xFSM install to DEHASH the system and it always worked fine, then after succesfull dehash do the final remarry on 355, the MM fix is just for "broken" playback..restores/creates new valid DLR files or something?! not full remarry

PS3 not bricked. If mains power switched off/on, PS3 powers up OK into v3.55.

Really? I don't see two packages? Just the one. Unless I'm being stupid (think N00b). Where did you source your QA_Toggle package from. Perhaps mine is an older version?

Cheers,

Andy

I won't pretend to fully understand (yet) what you've written there btw.
