Disassembly issue

I'm disassembling my PS3 before I buy the E3 flasher just do I know I can do it and everything is fine. Anyways, when I get to the part where you unplug the two cords and unscrew the two screws by the power supply, I can't get the screws to well, unscrew. They are like locked in TIGHT. I thought the security screws were hard, but these... Damn.

I know the flasher comes with a screwdriver, it at least that's what it shows on the e3tech site. Is that screwdriver used for this, the security screws, or both? If not how will I remove them?

Them screws will come out with a small suitable screwdriver if you push down hard while you turn anti-clockwise. They are not security screws they are bog standard. Try a smaller tip screwie and apply pressure whilst turning.

applying a little heat to the screw head with a soldering iron on a high temperature for a small period of time may help a little too

Heating something up will make it expand... so I wouldn't heat up the screw because that will make it even tighter surely? Instead heat up the metal the screw is screwed into perhaps?

make sure you use a bit that fits perfectly into the screw. I had the same problem removing the motherboard backplate screws. it makes a huge difference

I cant recall too much about those screws but I think they are in plastic. In which case the plastic would get softer before the skrew expands.

I never had any problems with those screws. If it really is tightly in place, then place your left hand at the back of the machine and right hand on the screw driver, and push together as hard as you can while turning the screw driver. It should be safe...its only when it comes to the mother board where I wouldnt reccomend this method as the board could crack

Ok, would you recommend possibly taking a flathead and a hammer to it to grind down a side so I can just use a flathead of it comes down to it?
