hi i follow this tutorial, im using my psp to get the service mode.

heres the point i got the screen conect the controller etc. so im good at this point, my problem is when i use my psp and turn on and eject my psp is doing the work and then say Done but the ps3 is not turning off automatically so i turn it off and try again like 20 times and same thing happen.

What can i do???? any idea ????

What firmware is the psp on?? Is the psp a 1000 model??

do i have to connect the three 3.3v points on my progskeet 1.2v to the single 3.3v point om my DYN-001 board? and on my DYN-001 board i have more GND points than is on my progskeet 1.2 ,,,,what do i do to the extra gnd points?

You only need one gnd don't wire 3.3v close r8

format your hdd in the pc

1. get a hdd dock or an enclosure

2. connect it to the pc via usb

3. the hdd wont be detected by the pc so go to (start) right click My Computer and click manage.
a new box will open. click disc management. the screen will change. go to the ps3's hdd and format the hdd from here (full format)

4. re-insert the hdd in the ps3 and it should format now.

if its a bad hdd it will fail again.

if you have a spare hdd then try that in the ps3

i already tried that way (i put 3 different hdd in the ps3, it doesn't format any of them)
do i have to perform a full format and put it back with no fat32\ntfs partition inside?
i already tried to full format a drive, then i created an empty ntfs partition and put it back in the ps3 but nothing...
tonight i'll give it a try!


btw i don't really understand why on earth L2vdiag.self fails to install a firmware while in FSM! do you have any idea?

Open the log file with notepad or wordpad, and post the contents here. It should tell us where the update failed.
