Jailbreaking PS3 on 4.31
I am finding tutorials in Youtube on how to jailbreak ps3's on 4.31 by just downloading a file copying it to a flashdrive and installing it like a regular update. There are many people thanking the person who posted it saying it worked. Just wondering why you guys dont recognize this method as legit?

I downloaded the file and was close to trying it. Seems real with all the people who reply to the video saying it works.

This does indeed add the Install Package Files option to the XMB, but it's the same one you see on demo units. It does not let you install anything unofficial, and you can't run homebrew. Some people are stupid enough to think that this means they're jailbroken. |

said, it's a dead giveaway when they put comments on approval, they do this so people can't let anyone else know it's fake.
Every fake cfw on youtube they put the comments on approval. Glad you're smart enough to ask here first before you tried it. If you don't see it on here or other well known ps3 sites then it's fake.
