good day PS3 HAX people

my name is paolo and im from the philippines

this is my first time to post and also ask help / advice from the ps3 hax people, for the reason that if i have some questions i choose to search the forum first and do a lot of back reading.

i am asking help from this good community on my siuation right now

i have a customer who has a PS3 DEX 3.60 - 4.30 ( this is what it shows on the system information under multiman )...

i know that it can be converted to a cex machine, but it needs to be on a 3.55 DEX ( at least thats what i read from the tutorials [cex ---> dex ---> cex] )

is there a possible way downgrading it to 3.55 then changing it to a cex machine, if not then is there a safe way to change it to a cex machine from dex 4.30 other wise i really need t learn how to run backup games via USB on a dex machine

i dont know the SOFTWARE HISTORY of the system and i dont even have a clue about the CFW DEX that is installed, what i only have is the system information that shows on the multiman.

i dont have a flasher right now and any help would be gratly appreciated

you can downgrade to dex3.55 but without your original CEX flash backup..it maybe a little troublesome...but it can be done...read a tut on dex to cex without original flash that is on this forum...it should help you m8

can you please post the link as there are a lot of PS3 CEX to DEX tutorial posted on this forum.

youre right about the CEX flash, i dont have it and will never be able to get it.

-however im a really bit confused about the steps... it doesnt say i need to downgrade from 4.30 DEX to 3.55 DEX but some post they did downgrade to 3.55 DEX before following the steps...

-been searching a lot about downgrading from 4.30 DEX to 3.55 DEX and i cant find any post about it...

You do know there is no 4.30 DEX firmware right? The highest DEX that was leaked is 4.21.

-thanks for the info and i did manage to find it backreading and searching...

-im almost there... did manage top downgrade to 3.55 DEX how ever i cant access the TMP folder under multiman and i dont have any backup of the eid_root_key...

-i did google the problem but i only manage to found 1 result that is in exact same issue that still doesnt have an answer...

*** FOUND THE FIX FOR MULTIMAN ***

- successfully done the switch from DEX to CEX

- the console is running on rogero 4.30CFW CEX and is now able to run backup games from the internal and external HD...
