i've had cobra for almost 2 years, i even waited a year after it was released before I got it. and to this day, no other cfw offers the same functionality. I went from Geohot 3.55 to Rebug 3.55.2 or w/e, to Cobra 3.55. Each time I could do more and more.

Tell me why I should go back to Rebug from Cobra right now? Those lousy cfws can't even let me play my import ps2 games straight from xmb. Can you play ps3 games from across the world on Rogero cfw? No, I thought so...

I never supported TB, which seems to be something to cry about on this site. Even still, Cobra USB has always been better than TB or any other cfw solution. If you have a real ps3 of course, and not the budget slim for all the crybabies who couldn't afford the real deal at launch. Let me guess, you're a slim or non-BC model owner that thinks Sony took something from you too, right?

and the icing on the cake? Keep dreaming if you think octo or whoever is gonna release anything cobra related...that sounds just like every others ps3 news site that said "don't buy cobra, it will be cracked one day" when Cobra first came out i've heard it all before.

I have a 20gb launch model ps3, the one that is backwards compatible and the one where Sony actually removed functionality. For this model of elite ps3, rogero and/or rebug cfw suck compared to cobra usb. There is not a single reason i'd go back to free cfw, Cobra does everything they do and more. Even without a 4.3x update, you can get patches and play the latest games so it's still better.

hell, ofw is better than anything not cobra cfw

BTW with my BC ps3 I can play just as many games if not more then your cobra cfw , given my system was built for backwards compatibility, unlike yours which requires the cobra dongle.

my console doesn't require cobra usb, genius. i can play ps1/ps2 games also from USA. Thing is...

i can't play ps2 games from Japan on any other cfw save for Cobra. Rebug, Rogero, kmeaw, no other cfw except for Cobra allows me to do that. Even though Ps3 has been "hacked" for how long? You mean to tell me playing games isn't important? Riiiiight...

what exactly can rebug or rogero do that Cobra can't? to my knowledge i'm not missing out on much.

Your 20gb is nothing special, if anything it was the worst next to the 40 and 60 gb models. Everyone I know that had one of them it has either ylod on them, just stopped working or Sony took it when they sent it in for repair. I'm no cheapo when it comes to my console. I paid the 650$ for my 80gb model which has outlasted all 20, 40, 60gb models I know of. And my ps3 is on 24/7 practically.

I actually paid closer to 800$ day I got it, cause I got 2games and 2 extra controllers same day.

If I remember right the 20gb model don't have the MC ports or all 4 USB ports. It was the cheapest model at the time, I believe 300-400$ then. So who cheaped out now. So stfu with your basic BC model and go have sex with your cobra drm, cause I can play import games just fine on my ps3.

@riddleofthejynx So the main advantage is playing ps3 games without a backup manager? It's not impressive, the only thing I can say about it is the ps1 isos and psp emulation. Cobra has been cracked, and like @snkysnake02 told you, it's going to be released eventually.

You're obviously uninformed about current cfw especially about rebug. There is a way to play through the network but only with rebug in it's debug settings. (It can also be used to install linux) Also the bannings are due to a few factors.

Any COD game all the way back to the original black ops could get you banned. There are a few others who have gotten banned without black ops but the whole story isn't being told. I've been on psn for two months with no problems yet.

Anyone can get banned at any given moment, depending on circumstance and if they slip up and make a mistake and accidentally get themselves caught.

Cobra isn't any safer, not by a long shot. If you're asking what's so special about rebug or rogero, then you're obviously in no position to compare anything as you're out of the game.

You couldn't of had it for 2 years, because it was released less than 2 years ago?
And if you waited for a year after it came out, you have only had it less than 1 year?

Was it not released around May of 2011?
It is now Jan. of 2013?

And so you know...you don't remember right. 20 gb launch model has 4 usbs, no wireless internet, and no memory card readers. I don't care about the wireless or MC readers, though.

without being a hater, tell me what features Rogero or Rebug have over Cobra and i'll gladly switch back. The only thing I remember me liking about Rebug was the save data feature, but after a while that got stale.

my bad if my timing is off. If it came out in May 2011, i think I got it towards the end of that year. I watched all the ps3 news sites hate on it, and people cried about this that and the 3rd. I think it was almost a year I had it because BF3 came out that Christmas.
