BE careful. It's easy to brick one. MAKE SURE YOU GET A BACKUP DUMP! if you don't get a backup dump there's no NO WAY to get back from a brick.

The reason I say not to use the E3 flasher is it's easier to brick your ps3 because of how unreliable they are. they never sit flush lol

I wouldn't say that they are unreliable as I have downgraded well over 50 PS3s with the E3 and only had issues with it when learning how to install it correctly but after the first time I haven't had any issues since.

I would say that the E3 would most likely be a better choice for this member because it seems that they have limited knowledge of the whole process as it is and most likely isn't going to know how to solder so the E3 would be the way to go.

Mate think carefully before you go ahead with it, you can spend a lot money on a flasher and one wrong move then you brick your console.

If you only want a flasher to do your own console then consider someone doing your console for you.

If you are in the UK then myself or Paul ( Sarah1331) will do it for less then the price of a e3 flasher.
If in the USA then Playerkp420 will do it.

Don't forget you will also need a downgrade dongle as well as a flasher.
