since his HDD is not in "normal" condition i told him to completly wipe down the whole HDD with 0's with CCleaner
if that doesnt work hell organize another HDD

UPDATE: he said to me after he has installed rogero on the new HDD (see @noidea 's update) he came to the XMB and installed mM... he wanted to copy a game from a USB-stick to the new HDD... he only got ~1mb/s and canceled the copying task... PS3 directly freezed (no blackscreen) and then there came the restore filesystem action like @noidea said
another sign for a faulty HDD

UPDATE: VICTORY! wiping the HDD with CCleaners tool actually helped
he could format the HDD and install rog 4.30 v2.05 very fast without problems
XMB and mM works so far will now try if backups are working

Delete any game data, from the game data utility.
Go into the game settings in mm.
Check only external or internal, depends on where your game is.
Choose update and download and install the game update.
Load the game from the disc icon, not app/home.

If it still doesn't work, choose also bd mirror in game settings and load game from disc icon.

If it still doesn't work, rerip the game from the original disc. Or a trusted source.

if its freezes when you copy big files, atleast 2gb + then your hdd is faulty, happened to my ps3 fat lately, then i changed my hdd to a new one, then it works perfectly now...

i tried it, still 80010006. loading the game from disc icon in xmb is not possible for me, because the bd drive is broken, so there's no disc icon. Using the disc icon in mM gives me a blackscreen.

i tried 4 different games from common sources. if it's allowed i will post you the releases names..

I have a little hint: Before i changed the hdd to a new one, i could start 1 single game: farcry3. This one was the only one which i hadn't had to load via mM, but to install in xmb. unfortunately i deleted the game files, so i can't try to install it again. but this one was working properly!

UPDATE:
Before i had the first 80010006 issues on my old drive, i could play all backupsi had. I just tried to load one of these (max p. 3) and it also gives me 80010006. what the f**k has changed?! could it be that the hardware broke? i'm thinking about throwing my ps3 out of the window...

there are already 2 HDDs in the cat and mouse play...
the old HDD (everything worked fine but newly copied backups didnt start)

then he built in another HDD (320GB from an old laptop)
but he still gets the error and i dont think that he gets 2 HDDs which are faulty

easy version:
1) games work well
2) new games dont start but old backups were working
3) he thinks changing the HDD may solves the problem
4) changed HDD and after some problems he succesfully installed rog 4.30 v2.00(he doesnt want the toobox at 2.05)
5) now backups dont work

since there has been one point from where newly copied/downloaded games dont work i think its not the HDD/PS3 itself i think its more that the data is/has been damaged somehow.... maybe faulty HDD/RAM on laptop or a faulty usb-stick

UPDATE: he usually downloads the games on a mac... he downloaded a game (trusted source) on another (windows-)laptop and he now has a blackscreen instead of that error code 80010006 when he trys to boot a game
could it be a faulty USB-stick?

its either faulty ram or faulty usb stick..
