My PS3 is a PHAT 80gb one, running Rogero 4.30v2 as i said and this is the only game i've experienced it. Everytime it's get in the blackscreen, if i try to return to XMB, my PS3 bips and restart... also, on the game installed data is created a DmC corrupted icon, but it has only 1 kb.... I tried to let it there, thinking it maybe a install data stuff, it stay there for more than a hour long and nothing...

I didn't had an external HD, so i can't test it, but it's there games that only run external?

i run all my games on external, blu-ray game inside, selecting bd mirror on multiman and "external" data. i have no issues with games. I have no experience running games on internal so i can't tell. Did you select "BD Mirror" in Multiman?

Yup, "BD mirror" and also "internal" too, but not working, i tried without both and still blackscreen....

EDIT: reading on another forums, someone stated that is needed a disc on the BD-drive for it to work, is this true guys? Anyone here tried running it discless?

Accepted multimans offer to patch game to 4.30 firmware. Loaded game via disc icon and let game data install to hdd. After install, PS3 freezes on black screen and have to hard power off/on. Any attempt to load afterward is just black screen.

ErmaC 4.30 CFW v1.4, multiman 04.18.04, internal hdd, a game disc in drive.

Sounds like internal data issue, have you guys tried load the game on app/home?

How long are you leaving the "black screen" before deciding that the game has frozen ?

If I remember correctly, when I first ran the game I had a black screen for about 5-6 mins before the game started and its been running flawlessly since.

Try waiting out the black screen longer before powering off.

sounds like the problem is not happen only me, i have tried it with both of external hdd and internal hdd but the same issue of black screen and i also waited about 20 minutes, downloaded it twice, all i've got is the lady black screen, plz don't tell me to buy a new console to play it with a disc in the bd drive, because i have already tow consoles with tow damn broke bd drive, what a bad luck that i've got, i saw many people confirmed here that the game was successfully worked without needing for a disc in bd drive, so....plz help Mr. Duplex or any one here who could help....

It does not work discless. The only way people with broken blu-ray drives can play this is if a PSN version is released.

Update your multiman, the game works perfectly without the need for fix on rebug 4.30. Its running on external with disc inside. Enable bd mirror and external on MM
