About 2 years ago I bought a brand new slim thinking I could jailbreak it
but the firmware turned out to be 3.60 and was dubbed the "unhackable"
slim because 3.60 was the base firmware there was no way to
downgrade it.

I was pretty depressed, as I was looking forward to toying with a PS3 running CFW.

Along came a guy on craiglist who owned 3 ps3 fat consoles all on firmware 3.55.

I contacted the guy and asked if he was willing to trade, he said yes.

That fat console I got from him turned out to be a cecha01 (60 gig launch console which is also reverse compatible with PS2 and PS1 games).

Just be patient, keep looking you'll get what you want.

Homebrew not so much, unless someone can convert the homebrew into an iso that would work on the odemu.

I highly doubt they will get BD keys on 3.55+

Thinking about HB via iso: if the ODE only accepts encrypted ISO dumped images, how can an ISO be made to contain HB, but appear/be encrypted.

Is that process known yet?
