CEX <-> CEX *could* be possible but it depends on what other files are needed. BD playback is also linked in the VSH as well.

Messing with any files in flash is risky and especially this one as it is linked to the vsh.

I could be wrong but are you going to take that chance?

If you have a flasher and a valid backup, you could experiment.

You would have to decrypt and resign each and every file used for playback and some of those are part of the CoreOS.

To be honest, it's not worth it when stand alone players are cheap enough.

Nope i dont have a flasher so im not going to take the risk. It was just a quick thought since it read like that. And i thought there has to be a way somehow that this should be possible. I mean the scene already made so much possible but why did nobody focus on one of the main functions of the ps3 the BluRay Playback? If i would have knowledge in Reverse Engineering and the Money for a second PS3 and a Flasher i maybe would try it. But well when it comes to programming n stuff im not very skilled ^^"
