Yeah that is basically what my post said lol. Everyone is saying use a psp 1000 but I did it with a 2000. I never had a need to go passed 5.50 gen d3 on those 2 models and the one 3000 i have is perma patched.

to the op: what type of phone do you have? You may be able to use your phone as a jig if needed as well. There are many options available. Just about any od the older usb dev boards that people used back on 3.41 to hack theor ps3 can be programmed to work as well.

Using a phone can be a pain. Sometimes a restore is needed.

I have a ZTE Score by Cricket, and I do have a rockbox'd Sansa E200R but the psgroove installer doesnt seem to work.

You have to use a PSP 1000/2000 because you have to use 5.50 Gen CFW for the PSPJig. The 3000 models will brick if you try to downgrade it to 5.50.
