, I sent it to you.
Yes, you have to solder a wire, to keep the PS3 on for flashing. Some have reported taping a wire will work. But I have never tried that.

nono its good man..like i said no problem and player is good dude..go ahead its easier then installing win7 then again why it wont work on XP...atleast that other guy got same problem on XP..xp sp3 with student serial...good stable OS back then haha..win7 for me cuse that crappy win8 wont run on my crappy setup...
anyway..goodluck on fix

ok I will solder and continue.
Many thanks to both of you. Just one question. Because my fan is broken and i am afraid of shutting down again, if i use an external cooler (like them for laptops) am i going to have a problem? Solder a wire from nor tristate on motherboard to SBE on e3 ribbon cable. Or you can solder a wire from nor tristate to a GND point on the motherboard Can I use the second one or is better to follow the first one? Last edited by nick64; 01-17-2013 at 04:52 PM. |

but take ur time..maybe first fix up the fan, i can't comment on the laptop fan..it might work..personally i would fix fan first
