Hey guys,

I have a problem with downgrading my PS3. I have done everything up to the step where you have to press power/eject quickly with the E3 Card Reader that is "programmed with the downgrade files." I need to know which files I will need to put on it to program it. Also, will I need to upgrade my E3 card reader by dragging and dropping the e3downgrade file to e3upgrade?

Will the guide in your signature work the same? The readme is a bit hard to understand, your tutorial HOW TO DOWNGRADE W/E3 FLASHER TO ANY OFW/CFW is a lot easier to understand.

Yeah, after dragging n dropping that that .bin file to your e3 card reader. Follow the guide below.
That readme is outdated.

Sorry to bug you again, but if I'm going to Rogero 4.30, did I even need the E3 Card Reader? Or do I use the E3 card reader when I put the patched bkpps.bin into the PS3 with the power/eject trick?

It goes in the E3Upgrader drive. When you plug in the e3 card reader you will get 2 drives pop up.

Yeah, at "Step 17. Insert your downgrade dongle in the right USB port.", you insert the e3 card reader.

Oh, I see it now. But what files need to be in the card reader to get it to downgrade? Or do you not need any files in it? Your guide just says insert, it doesn't say anything that needs to be in it.

Just make sure you drag n drop that .bin file I linked in my first post. Like @vb_encryption says in his post.

Then the Lv2diag.self and the PS3UPDAT.PUP, will be on a regular USB stick.

Or can you use the e3 card reader as a USB stick too? Not sure, since I have never used it.

Ok, so just making sure - you don't need to put any files but that bin onto the E3 Reader when you power/eject it, right?
