Thanks for all your help guys, it seems that it's really needed a game in the BD-drive, but i can't test it now(my games are borrowed).

I actually waited this time through the game data install. I watch the bottom progress bar and it seems to end at 83% and then goes to black screen (freeze). I waited +10 minutes and it stays black screen. I then have to power off/on my PS3. I look at game data manager it looks like it installed. I have not applied any fixes other than multiman's offer.

Is your game data 2.4GBs? I believe mine look liked it completed at 90% but never saw a 100% and it worked fine

black screen. Current setup is 3.55 spoofed to 4.21, internal and no disc (cant find a game..)

Yes the game data created looks about that size. I tried the Duplex 4.30 fix and it progressed to 90% but still black screen freeze. I also tried the 3.55 fix where you replace the eboot and sprx file. Same problem.

I will try to aquire another disc and re-rip. Maybe I got a damaged disc or something and it didn't copy right. Other than that maybe I need to upgrade my firmware. As stated before I'm on ErmaC 4.30 v1.4

Works for me ok on Rogero 4.30 v2.05 multiman 04.18.04 no fix needed. It seems on earlier versions of multiman, multiman was leaving a file unpatched.

Tired the [PS3][FIX 4.21-4.30] DmC Devil May Cry fix and it does the 90% then black screen (freeze). It gave me corrupted game data. Then upon power off/on I get greeted with corrupted file system, then it says I need to format. Only option was to format now I have to load all my games (25) back on my hdd. This is going to take days.

I'll just borrow my friends non cfw PS3 for a couple days and hopefully beat DMC before they want their system back.

I cant even copy the game to internal hdd without the abort (666) error. I replaced the sprx file from the duplex release. When I play the game I have to delete the game data and then re-install game data every time at start up. I was able to make it to stage 8, but after that I was getting an error w/ black screen "the game data is corrupted and needs to be deleted"

Ive tried using mm 4.18.5/4/3. Multiman patched the game and I replaced the sprx file. Then I tried copying the game to internal hdd same error abort (666). Im starting to think its my external hdd, because it seems like nobody here has had the same problem.. Im also on rogero cfw 4.30 v2.04.
