Have this ps3 slim on my hands but its at model that was launched at the time the metldr.2.. the model is cech2504B date code 1A..

is it possible to downgrade this console? or what is the best way of nowing that the console is downgradeble??

it is a metldr2 minver 3.56 or a metldr minver 3.50 of a datecode 1A console of the 2500 series. Only minver and a real dump can tell the difference between the two.

yeah a tricky one this is.. have to take it apart, and try to make a dump..

Is it posible to make the dump of the bios if its the metldr2 just encrypted dump? or will my e3 flasher make an error?.. have an e3 flasher!

I got slim ps3 cech2504A date code 1A....
i did a flash dump...tried to downgrade and in the process it was flashing and after i press stop button reboot the ps3 it powers on for 2-3 sec and off again....

can i downgrade it ?
before the e3 flashing,i check with minver it showed 3.4...

Those links, none of them say there is a date code 1a with metldr 2. I was under the impression, that all date code 1a and some 1b, can be jailbroken.

At least by looking at those links. metldr 2 was not introduced until sometime in the second quarter of 2011. So anything with datecode 1a, is not metldr2. If Minimum Downgrade Version Checker says 3.56, it is jailbreakable with Three Musketeers patch?

No it is not a tricky one.
If I am right in my response above, then all date code 1a is jailbreakable with a flasher.
It is possible to still make a dump if it is metldr 2. But if you have CECH-25xx date code 1A (manufacturing date = Jan.,Feb.,or March 2011) Then you can use Three Musketeer patch and install Rogero 4.30 v2.05 from recovery.

If min. ver. checker said 3.40, then you can obviously go to 3.55.

This is getting too confusing with the 3M patch So even if the system is on 4.31 is it possible to flash rogero 4.30v205 from a USB without ever going through FSM steps ?

I thought this would only work for 4.30, leaving us stuck on fsm with systems on 4.31 and min fw 3.56 ?
