Ok here it does, Ps3s are banned using console IDs, If you can obtain a valid id and spoof it/ change your console id then the console will be unbanned. Now heres a theory that I think will work.

If we dumped the ps3s nand/nor flash using multiman.
Found the offsets for the Console Id and changed the console id to a vaild unbanned id, then the console should be unbanned.

So far I have managed to unban a console by spoofing to a valid console ID. To permanently change It , Well thats were I need some help In Finding the ID in the Nor flash.

If anyone Can help, I am currently Running Rebug 4.30. All I need are the locations of the console Id in the Nor Flash and how to change them. By flashing a New console Id this should unban the console.

By spoofing the ID permanently, you might end up matching some1 elses ID... Imagine you wake up turn your OFW ps3 On, try to log in and all you get is a ban note....

Does not sound fair does it?

I had the same idea couple of months ago, but I never even tried to acomplish anything after i realized that I might screw someone elses ps3 console for my own benefit.


Really either be happy with CFW and offline gaming of your backups, or OFW and online with Bluerays inside the drive.

Dual boot is also a simple, expensive but functional way of avoiding getting banned.


Just my 2cents, dont get me wrong, I would love to see a way to enjoy PSN on CFW, as long as it does not arm anyone else, including sony itself

Ok swapping between your own consoles ID is another thing, still I cant imagine how many people would use this method to their own benefit by just spoofing random IDs, and end up causing a small worldwide mess

I don't know much about PSN and this ID but maybe this ban problem could be resolved by changing the Console ID everytime you start up your PS3 or everytime you start a homebrew app or a game into a specified/random unused console ID.

Are there any number rules in the console ID? Never saw one :P

I'm glad there is someone else on my wave length. If I ever want to go online, I want to know that some scroat hasn't got my console id.....I know I would be p1ssed if I were banned

What are the changes that we can randomly generate IDs that are NOT in use?

I would say thats pretty "impossible" ? You would have to get access to all IDs already active so you can program a generator that does NOT generate active ones already?

lets say if one could make an ID with more digits than the real ones and still login to PSN with it, then it should be no problem, but i believe you have to respect the number of digits accepted by the console itself + psn ?

Like I said, I would love to see this happening, but before I even open HxD and start ID hunting, I need to be sure there will be no arm caused to any that has nothing to do with this!
