EDIT: http://ps3devwiki.com/wiki/RSOD_Fix You said its not fixable? I was just reading about it, and it seems to be under control now? I am extremely confused as of now :lol: EDIT2: Ok I understand now, if it happens and you "fix" it, it might come back which means its hardware related and noway of fixing it. ok I got it now.

@katsuru
The rsod comes from a bad area of flash. This can be causedby a number of things. On a cechL model, it is more often than not a bad nor chip, which isn't fixable without replacing the nor itself, which is no easy feat. If you get rsod on any console you can try to fix it with the lvl2diag rsod fix they have out, which just summons the system to rewrite the area of the nor that is corrupt. Sometimes it fixes it for good, but if it is a bad sector of the nor, then it will come back. In that case, the fix may last for a hour or it may last a month, or it may not fix it at all. Oh, and 7 out of 7 chechL models have had rsod, but don't worry....they all had rsod when I bought them so it isn't like I had 7 console crap out to rsod. They where bought that way. Lol.

Alright, I will make sure I will keep this in mind, thanks mate. Another question ( and sorry for hijacking the thread ), besides the CECHLxx models, are there any other known models that often suffer from RSOD ?

So I think it is safe to say, that the NOR is faulty from factory and is a sleeping beast until we try to write on it and it "fails", and it has nothing todo with how many times one has flashed/does flash the console.
Ok this kinda helps me out, I just want to completely get a theory on why is CECHLxx such a RSOD hunger model
