then, yes guys start making new stuff like those 355COREOS patches(i think this was first..can't remember from the Spanish dude) and they made it better etc.... the patches......cuse ofcourse E3 isn't Progskeet modchip and e3_downgrade.bin wont work for Progskeet so each needs there own patches:

Progskeet/Teensy etc.. = 355COREOS patches
e3 flasher = e3_downgrade.bin = 355COREOS patches

then the important factor comes in......those manual patches can be used in combo with E3 flasher to "UNBRICK" let's say a corrupt NOR/NAND flash = ROS0/1 firmware parts, and i guess here's popsup the EGO's again cuse 100% sure first it was posted like this on the ps3devwiki:

E3 flasher only!

1) first try the default way = original bkpps3.bin+e3_downgrade.bin
fails?? try this:

2) patched 355COREOS bkpps3.bin

it is edited in the mean time, the other way round = recommended to use pre-patched bkpps3.bin

THIS IS NONSENSE, when one does an first time E3 DOWNGRADE, there is nothing wrong with E3_DOWNGRADE.BIN..period!

I need to try the TUT to fix RLOD,,,,

I got slim ps3 cech2504A date 1A...made dump...checked by this forum and was valid,,,when i press one key downgrade..lights came on one by one and suddenly start flshing before finishing....i pressed STOP...tried to boot again and the ps3 boots up for 2-3 seconds and OFF...the power light is off but if i press it it goes on..another press the ps3 starts on and then off after 2-3 seconds....!!!!!

this "soft-brick" is caused by a bad clip connection....it's coming loose from NOR chip and/or! u need to update ur E3 flasher with the "samsung update" to flash multiple PS3's, then also pressing STOP in the middle, all this have messed up ur NORflash..result is not booting anymore = RLOD

solution...reclip 100%-redump-validate-restore ur original OFW validated dump
