Question About US Prison

Is it cheaper to keep an inmate imprisoned for life than to put them on death row?

I've heard that the execution process requires like ten trials before they actually kill the prisoner, which means they need to pay the lawyers and judges. Plus they need to get the doctors ready just incase something goes horribly wrong, right?

Sorry, I don't know much.

Killing people is wrong, mmkay? Even if said person did something really, really, horrible. Because I can't really believe that locking someone up in a small cage for ~10 years then cold murdering them is fair punishment for anything.

Trust me, it's more than fair in some cases. There is more than one person I would like to see lowered a millimetre a day into a vat of acid with just enough drugs to keep them awake without blocking any pain.

If you know no-one who deserves that, then I am envious of you as you have had a nice sheltered life (or a young one? lol)

It's a business. The United States spends and average of $40,000.00 a year to incarcerate an inmate. I live much cheaper than that each year with much nicer amenities than a prisoner receives. The government spends an average of $8,000.00 to educate each elementary student. Citizen taxes and the federal government fund housing for state prisoners. Prisoners are a cash crop for state governments. That's why they will send a guy to prison who owes over $5,000 in child support so they can be funded the $40,000.00. There's also groups who are proactively advocating for marijuana to be illegal only on the basis of the funds they receive to treat people like criminals who aren't engaged in any criminal activity. Most people don't care until it happens to them or somebody close to them. People are reduced to a number so the government can get paid. So now you should understand why somebody will spend 10-20 years on death row before they are killed. There's and average of something like 60,000 - 80,000 people falsely incarcerated each year in the United States by overzealous prosecutors looking to build their career and case load as well as provide funding for the executive and judicial branches of the legal system at the expense of others. The legal system in the United States needs some serious reformation.

"too often we excuse those who are willing to build their own lives on the shattered dreams of others.” - Bobby Kennedy

Neither a sheltered life nor a young one I'm just opposed to those in power taking it upon themselves to systematically murder human beings. Do some people deserve to die? Hell yes, I know many of them myself.

At the rate my paycheck get's raped every payday to pay for welfare, the prison system, to line the idiot's running this country's pockets, they can all piss off and rot. You should have a choice to pay taxes on welfare,prisons, lining that twat presidents pockets, I'd be the first to op out. If you can't afford to feed your kids, quit reproducing. Population control.

End of rant.

Prison is like a holiday camp, they get better treated in there than some of us working folk.

Sod this human rights bull shit.

Give them a 10 by 8 cell, 1 hour a day for exercise and keep them locked up for the remaining 23 hrs.

How much would it cost for rice and beans to feed them each day?

Its supposed to be punishment not a f'in free ride.

Murderers=Death
Peado's=De-Balled
Everyone else=23 hrs Per Day in a cell.

Simples...
