i told him to update to 4.31. since he sent me a second dump with not valid ros1, i told him to update and dump again.
i am tilling you something ****y going on with this ps3
any how i will ask him to restore the ofw4.2 dump again and see whats wrong

what about not updating to latest 4.31, u could then u can't use the new way "YET" ofcourse default 355coreos patches/FSM works fine from 4.31

and the "not valid" ROS1 = corrupt? empty? that is ur problem! this comes from restoring and for some reason 1 bank is empty after it(firmware parts)

ask him to UPDATE the same FIRMWARE he's on atm! = 4.20? via the recovery, this should work, then take a new one making sure BOTH ROS0/1 is full, so make sure PS3 is booting as normal and the new dump is valid with ROS0/1 filled! and go from there ok

i did not carry the downgrade until have got the Ros0/1 Valid my friend. but it looks i missed pointing it out.
my question here:
why the hill it is axceoting the ofw Dump? (although the blue leds not shown) could it be Fake E Flasher???????????
and when i try to flash the patch dump it freezes on the first led??????????

that i do not know....it would DUMP empty dump correct? all 00's and FF's instead of data.....? u can verify this by going to the E3 page on the wiki and check the images posted legit/fake flasher

@3absiso , not really, cuse why it takes the OFW dump and boots(no blu e leds in front panel) perhaps they are broken?? and just working anyway? it always takes arround 8 minutes to complete(1min per led) either with:

e3_downgrade.bin+original bkpps3.bin (switch 6UP)

or
a patched original bkpps3.bin ONLY on SD card with the e3_manual 355 coreos patches( SWITCH 6 DOWN)

both takes the same time = 8 minutes

clean everything good
hit the "reset" red small button on the underneath of the e3 flasher/black board and then update the flasher with the samsung update
start from OFW 4.20 again maing sure both ROS0/1 are full

i think of anything else...it should really work man

I did a backup and everything checked out per ultimate fool proof guide. I started the downgrade and got an error. It was bricked so I followed the proceedure to unbrick. worked great. I put my orignal backup on, nothing but black screen. This work on 2 others I downgraded (phats). I have read this thread 3 times 100%, tried at least 5 different ways (samsumg flash etc) and after the downgrade all I get is a black screen, no drive activity, no USB etc.. Only thing I can think at this point is the backup was not good? If someone wants to be nice enough I can post a link to it. Everything looks and does what it is suposed to on the E3... lights everything. I don't know where or what to do at this point. Oh the FW was 3.72. One last question does it matter if the BR drive is installed. actually tried that both ways too.
