Buying a New PS3 with OFW 2,85.
So main questions are, am I able to jailbreak it, no matter if it's SuperSlim, Slim or Fat or anything like that.
I just wan't to be sure. + Am I able to install the best CFW (The most popular and stable) Thanks for reading, and sorry for my dumb questions. NOTE: I'm not buying it from here.. ~Home |

If it IS on 2.85 then you are good to go. It will most likely be a fat with that firmware, but maybe a slim. It won't be a super slim.
Cfw is you choice, you can do what you want.

I will buy it probaly tomorrow, and I will hook it up. Do I have to Update to official 3,55 before I can do the magic

Yes. You are going to have to update it to 3.55. Do not put any OFW higher than that or you will be sorry. Also, Make sure there is no disc in the drive. I had my Deus Ex disc in when I was switching FW once and almost updated to 3.65 OFW.

Thanks all for your answers. Couple more questions, If I install Rogere CFW 4,20 am I able to downgrade to 3,55 CFW via Software downgrade or do I need a flasher?

does it have controllers? genuine controllers are rare and expensive! also what about the HDD/blu-ray? and is the gurantee label still on it?

Well I will get the Main console (Out of the packet) + Cables. No controllers.
Ok, thank you all! P.S If I play my "backup" games, they won't update my CFW to OFW. And is there ways in CFW that it wont update anything not by even an accident ~Home |

so the PS3 thinks that the FW 4.31 is installed so PSN/games think that an update isnt needed and again to the HDD... is it the original one and how much space? and which model is it?? for example are the old consoles backwardscompatible and are able to play PS2/PSX games
