Cant for the life of me understand how or why people get so emotional over sports teams (or even tv shows/movies). It's not like you lost the game for your team?

People need to learn how to let go of things. Now that people realize they have their own opinions and thoughts, the sense of entitlement that people feel they deserve has risen exponentially thereby leaving people with a false sense of superiority for some reason.

It has something to do with very limited minds and a total inability to think for themselves.......................... Or that they just like hassle and violence and use it as an excuse......... Either way it's more than pathetic.

Lol...that wasn't a bs call. The only reason why he backed off making that catch was because he heard the ump yell out the call. Otherwise he makes the catch. Even so, that's not why ATL lost that game.

You got it, Pontiac!

Another example of why I'm ashamed of the human race (and not just Canadians). Your hockey team loses. You retort by rioting and costing taxpayers and your fellow men/women MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars. That's not right. It's a disgrace to Canadians everywhere.

What would/did the players think of their fans after that? The team is out there busting there ass (ok, they were terrible in the finals) to put on a good show for the fans, and then they lose and their fans throw a tantrum.

Really, just boggles my mind how people can be that dumb (read pathetic).

Yeah, I was shocked just because it was Canada. I would have expected it to happen here first. But you guys are passionate about your hockey. Pretty much like England is with their soccer. Still, I would have been glad if my team(St. Louis Blues) would have even made it to the finals.

Last baseball season some Los Angeles Dodgers baseball fans beat a San Fransisco Giants fan into a coma for around 8 months or so. Philadelphia fans threw ice at Santa Claus and D size batteries at visiting player.

I loved sports growing up and I'm somewhat passionate my favorite teams but the fervor has worn of somewhat over the years. Legacies are gone with free agency and more money. Fans are ugly and sometimes violent. Las Vegas and referees often decide the winners. It's hard for small market teams to compete with the larger market teams as well. It's a sad day for something so simple that was started as a kids game.
