I don't want devs getting used to developing for eight-core CPUs because that will force me to upgrade.

Anyways, anything better than what consoles are running now will do fine. Most consumers won't tell the difference anyway. Like most gamers, all they care about are good games. Not specifications. There is also a subconscious factor involved but... Meh. I don't feel like talking about that. Don't worry.

As far as online experience goes...the best I've had was with Xbox live, yeah it's a bit on the expensive side when compared to Sony, but I had the best times with it. PSN is great but lacks the atmosphere, every game is packed and even though some are annoying kids on the mic, it's nice to know I'm not getting that single player feeling like I get on psn when I'm not always playing with friends.

Exclusives, Sony's got the best library and set of first party devs right now. I don't see the big deal with online passes, I think of them as cd-keys on pc.

Xbox does not have any decent exclusives. The console is going down the toilet pan. Its more of an entertainment hub than a games console.

no, for real, xbl is faaaaaaar better than psn
ps+... this is ps3hax right?? i mean >HAX<?? when you have a ps3 with cfw you dont care about those free games,
cloud save games... ok this is not a bad idea but i dont pay that much cash only for this,
i only know about those 2 features, if there are more pls tell me

God of War > its ok... nothing special...

Killzone > forgot about this, pretty badass

Ratchet and Clank > i dont play jump n run games, so i say nothing about this one

Resistance > only played the first one... it sucked hard

ok in one thing, youre right, sony has MORE exclusives, BUT the microsoft exclusives are overall better

dont get me wrong, im not a xbox fanboy and also i dont hate sony or something, but with the ps3 they failed too much

Stop comparing PC specs to game consoles. Their structures and the way they work, are completely different. A console with 8 cores does not need a high clock. It all depends on things such as how the cpu handles calculations.

I hope you're not implying hacking = pirating. Sony has a tons more exclusives.

Forza is far better than GT ever was/is. I know people who have bought an XBOX just to play Forza. How is that not a decent exclusive?

It will sell millions. The PS4 will sell millions.

We'll still be here a year after each console has released debating which is best.

Choose your preference and go with it. I'll probably buy each of them because I can so I can have the best of both worlds.

None of this "only available on X console" malarkey.

The real reason why PS3 is superior to Xbox...

It's not that you can play online for free.

It's not the exclusive games like Heavy Rain.

It's not that PS3 games are in the far superior Blu Ray format.



It's the controller people. How it fits into your hands nice and snug.

How it has been with us ever since 1997 when Tifa Lockhart graced us with her lovely huge knockers.

It's the controller.


Though I am proud to say that I own a 360 only for 5 titles: Infinite Undiscovery, Blue Dragon, Tales of Vesperia, Rumble Roses XX, and Gears of War 2 & 3 (Gears 1 is NOT exclusive.....I have it for PC). Not counting downloadable games too of course.
