£170 is a bit overpriced if it's a slim with no controllers.
£170 for a fat is way over priced imo.

If it was retail stock which it clearly isn't as no controller then £200 would be fair game for a slim, £150 for a fat. Still at the end of the day it's all subjective

yeah thats what i think too and thats why i asked him twice about the HDD and about to ask the 3rd time now

if there is no big HDD (150+ GB) working HDD and working BD installed it is way overpriced

genuine controllers cost 50-60€!!


and dont mind about the updates
when you are on a new CFW all problems are gone
when you go to an old CFW (kmeaw etc) you have to download and patch eboot files in every game that needs a FW higher than 3.55

Nope, sorry. I haven't confirmed this yet, that's why the price isn't final either, the seller will arrive tomorrow to my doorstep, sorry for annoying.

And those short msgs, was because I was on tablet (I hate typing on it).

so you dont know any detailled info about the console?
lawl i guess its an old NAND console which already has been opened with 40gb HDD and so on...

i wish you good luck to make a good deal and remember the controllers!
you have to buy controllers and genuines are very expensive
dont buy fakes they just fall apart within 2hours of gaming

Its 120gb slim. Once booted on to check firmware.

P.s i already have 2 controllers

Backup games dont update your FW. You can also delete the PS_UPDATE folder from your backups to be sure no PSUPDAT.PUP will be in the backup games.

If it's a 120GB slim, it's not terrible but it's certainly not cheap.

Put it this way, I wouldn't pay that much. I'm sure if I kept my eyes peeled on various forums one could be had for £120-£130 delivered without controller, likely about £140 with a controller.

If you still have the option of turning it down, it might be worth having a quick scan on the ads section on places like avforums/overclockers as often PS3s come up there at reasonable prices where people genuinely are just selling because they want to sell and don't play enough games to bother keeping, not for profiteering sake.

I'll say one thing though, whenever buying a console with no controllers, that's a big red light to me, people who do that are generally sneaky...yeah I know that sounds ridiculous, but just go and have a look on ebay for example check out the listings of consoles without controllers There's an air of deviance about nearly every one of them!

Its just because i live in finland, no one really sells ps3's with that low firmware
