the point is that its mandatory to install the game files on the hdd on ps3,
because blu rays have bad data read speeds, i dont like to always install some sh!t on my ps3 firstly, when i like to play a game (in gran turismo 5 it took about 50mins to install the files!!!) so why should this be tha far superior format??

the thing with the dvds... hmm its just old school, but its better,
ok 3 dvds for one game sucks :D
but the most games use only 1, or maybe 2 dvds (1 for sp and 1 for mp) which is also ok

And that's another thing I forgot. How come I had to pay extra for a rechargeable battery kit for my 360 controller? It's like how Sony still doesn't include an HDMI cable with their consoles, it's stupid.

the devs have to compress the data so it fits to the DVDs
and to decompress it costs CPU-power
and i think blu-ray read speed is pretty nice
i think its just the BD which reads so slow

if you "really" care for specs then you wouldnt own a console, you would own a high end gaming pc and you would not be gracing these console forums.

pc / nintendo / sony / microsoft all do well. there is no "better". there is only personal preference otherwise the "better" console would be the only one selling and the other companies would be dust

i will wait til i play firsthand before casting my judgement on any console.
