If you are talking about a job, i can take it the part of cash coming in because you NEED it.

Here, we are talking about a hobby. Something that you do because you are good at it and because above all you love to do it.

But turns that people with good intentions turns corrupted for a *simple piece of paper* to buy a ticket to Bahamas.

If you release something for free, especially brew's on a closed system. It's better rejoice about what you done than expect a big phat check for it.

Why?:

1) Not easy to achieve.
2) You become a living legend against a big corporation.

But it's easy go for the money and don't get me wrong here. Im not talking about e-fame. Im talking about *personal challenges* to become better on what you do.

This is not a ****ing job. Is a hobby and you don't expect DONATIONS.
Or i have to explain ALL over again what's MEANS to donate something?.

I understand your point about challenge. But, you must have a lot of time to spend hours of free-time with this. If this is your job, it's a more viable solution but of course, you get a bit less gratitude. And if it's not your job, you can be owned easier by big companies like Sony. Just look at Geohot and Graf_chokolo. We don't hear anymore about them. That's a pity but world is directed by money. All is about money. And if you want to survive, you have to make some.

There really is certain circumstances where this product is a cherry.
What about the people with the dualboot?
You guys know damn well sony is going to shut down cfw users online or figure out how to detect cfw with the next firmware update and ban anyone that even tries to log on.
Dualboot users can have their cake and eat it too. I get all my homebrew and linux and still have the ability to play all my pirated games online. Im not forced to purchase any certain ode because i have my keys already. So the only factors will be support, cost, advertised funtionality.
I've done a little research and the xk3y team has put out about 15 updates in as many months. They seem to have their **** together as far as support and i've read that getting banned from live seems to be nothing more then rumors, but i understand the risks. I expect cost will be cheaper if they dont have a key extraction method for newer consoles by then and as far as functionality,well, playing games is whats its all about.
I dont know, i plan to sit on the fence and just watch for now but i have full intentions on buying one.
These ode's have been around for awhile for other consoles, why not the ps3's? I just think an ode will pimp my system to the extreme...
I'm sorry if my views dont agree with yours but you have to admitt, an ode isn't such a bad idea for my setup.
