I wish to know if there is any way to jailbreak a PS3 running on firmware 3.6.6 and if there isn't, is there a way to downgrade the firmware to one that is jail breakable without buying a flashing chip? I ask this because I have seen people saying that there was a jailbreak working for it and those that say it doesn't work. I'm coming here as a place of final authority. I have no former experience in ps3 jailbreaking so please answer with constructive criticism.

How bout you give us LESS INFO. Jesus..... Model number? If your model shipped with 3.55 or lower, you can use a Hardware flasher. If your came with fw above that, you are SOL no matter what you do.

You'll need Progskeet to downgrade this console, unfortunately, there's no other solution.

This is defiantly the best option no point paying out for the gear and messing it up when there are great services available on here like this. Cheaper and safer just the way we like it. Take it from me this chap has just done mine.
