@devolve0

you did it right, should be working. Did you set the Internal MC up for the selected PSX game.

@Theeze

well apparently this works with physical CD's and Image files, could try burning it to CD then loading it that way maybe?

Support PS3 games from external HDD (dev_usbxxx/GAMEZ) or internal HDD (dev_hdd0/GAMES)
from brewology, guess I gotta move all my games into one folder >_< not sure why it reads from the GAMEZ folder as im sure everyones backups are in the GAMES folder :-/

@devolve0

installl the new update, http://www.brewology.com/?p=2678&cpage=1#comment-440 locate the PKG file for IRIS and install, then put the patched ps1_emu self file in the root of the IMANAGER4 folder in dev_hdd0/game/

@snysnake02 No point in burning a game you own, I basically wanted to dump my collection onto my hdd. I haven't gotten past around trying other games and see how it goes. I'll try bushido blade 2,, if it doesn't work...I may need to reinstall rebug.

I even tried deleting and repatching ps1emu.. CC might be in the incompatible list with the loader.

I'm going to try it with the new version...I'll see what happens

It depends what format your "ISOS" were using originally... if they were "cooked" ISOs, converting them to .BIN (MODE1/2352 or MODE2/2352) don't make them an 1:1 image (the 304 bytes of ECC/ECD data is missing in the original file).

Images of PSX ISOs generally should be created as MODE2/2352 (CDROM-XA Mode2 Data) or as RAW (MODE1/2352) depending on the protection of the game and how the music is accesed. As I explained you earlier even some ISO images created as MODE1/2048 (data only) could work too (but very few). Moreover, some protected games require the additional 96 bytes in the subchannel data.

According to this post by Estwald, the image should have one of the following extensions: .img, .IMG, .bin or .BIN. And the size should be a multiple of 2352 (the size of the CD-XA sector). The ISOS (MODE1/2048) should not be used, unless they are .BIN or .IMG renamed (here he means: MODE1/2352 or MODE2/2352). In that case you just rename the file.

Here is a list of CD formats for your reference and comparison:

AUDIO – Audio/Music (2352)
CDG – Karaoke CD+G (2448)
MODE1/2048 – CDROM Mode1 Data (cooked)
MODE1/2352 – CDROM Mode1 Data (raw)
MODE2/2336 – CDROM-XA Mode2 Data
MODE2/2352 – CDROM-XA Mode2 Data
CDI/2336 – CDI Mode2 Data
CDI/2352 – CDI Mode2 Data

@devolve0

thats what my issue was too, just kinda figured thats where it went hehehe, then I put it at the root of the IMANAGER4 folder and it worked ^_^

All ive done is install iris through pkg and transfer patched psxemu to IMANAGER4 root.

Both of you can just use the pre-patched files. Drop them in your Iris Manager folder. Or you can take the un-patched ones drop in the root of the folder and double click both of the patch BAT files. But to answer your question yes you can jsut use the pre-patched files I made in that pack.

All images are MODE2/2352 (CD-XA) ISO created from the original CDS using Disk Juggler in RAW mode (this explains why renaming to BIN worked for some games). I just should have waited a bit before converting to BIN
