cfw 4.30 rogero and bricked hdd??

Hey all i have this console with rogero 4.30 v 2.05 and the harddisk dont even start up. Its bricked tryed it om my pc. And there i nothing running.

Now i have a new HDD. But what du i have to do to Male the new HDD work. Cant get into xmb to downgrade to 3.55. When i try to installe the new HDD the ps3 wants me to install a firmware abowe 4.30. Can i just installe the rogero 4.30 or ofw om it?? Or do i have to do it with a flasher..??

You can just re-install the SAME firmware you were using before. When it tells you need a higher version, just ignore that and hold "start + select" as requested and it will install.

This is true for Rogero firmware 4.30 V2.05

Start PS3 in recovery mode,

EDIT: use @baargle s suggestion.

Rogero states that since 2.03:

HDD can be swapped/changed anytime and the CFW will re-install without any problem.

also remove any games disc u got in the drive ,when your updating fw

A friend gave me his ps3 with the same problem, dead hdd. I had to use the downgrade pup to get a firmware to install just using rogero 4.30 vXX didn't work. The ps3 accepted the downgrader pup and from there was able to get QAtoggle.pkg to work and then back to 3.55 to dehash and now can upgrade to 4.30

make sure to read the downgrade tut and understand what you are doing.
