I saw on many threads users asking for Console ID's and even offering money for them.
HAX staff is aware that some users are selling Console ID's.
Any user suspected of being selling them will be recieve a *derail* infract.
The same some user asking for them offering money.

Let's get this to the point and clarify the basics.

Why i can't sell console ID's? Im not breaking any rule:

Indeed. There's no RULE about doing business with console ID's but as you many know rules are flexible so this is at least from my point of view is *not good*. Console ID trading or making business inside the community is not OK.

You want to do business or get them from other place. Be my guest but at least try not to do it here. Or use PM instead to do so.
If i spot someone offering money and someone taking it on a public thread, probably the user who offered as the one who hinted to PM him/her for a Console ID both will recieve a warning.

Can i use buy/sell/trade section instead?:

Depends.
If you are offering your own console ID, perfect. Be my guest and create a thread offering them.

If you *fetched* those console ID's from other place = Infract.

Why im doing this?:

Pretty simple, im protecting the community im in and you are in. You can call me an hypocrite because PS_unban tool is frontpaged and it's availabe for anyone to download.

Im not AGAINST the tool per se. Im against those ones who *give free console ID's or do business with them* since many fetch them from *other threads* that we have on this board and other places as well.

You got ban hammered being on CFW for playing COD black rope 2. Learn to deal with that.
If you are an experienced CFW user you know the risks about being online on CFW.

In case you are not *experienced* enough on CFW terms, going online you are giving away your position to Sony *HQ* each time you use some different or randomly generated console ID.

How to protect your console ID? = Being on OFW you can get it.

You can get your own PS3 console ID being on OFW using a sniffer. It's so simple but if you want to keep track of your own ID and save it. Use the tutorial to do it.

How to avoid *derail* infract?:

Easy, don't make business with Console ID's or asking for them like a *loco* because you got ban hammered. You can use google and search other boards or other places to do that.
Or you can use PM (private messages) to avoid others users as well asking the same and offering money for those Console ID's.

I hope you understand this and play *clean*.

Note:

Since i've done that thread *Unban yourself seems a cool idea (SIC)* im the bad guy for *exposing* something that i think for it's not *cool* to do.
But some users questioned and even labeled me as *Anti-CFW* user and how i know how Console ID's get extracted.

1) PS_Unban use a DB with random ID's that means that in that DB of that softaware contains REAL Console ID's meaning that *could* happen someone abusing from that software probably will screw some OFW eventually.

People donates those ID's and some are being selled to gods know who.
Also the user who fixed Ps_unban (not the creator of the app) asked for donations of Console ID's to keep the software updated and working. (Coincidence?).

Problem with this software that many *n00bs* use it without being aware that they are messing with others users ID's and they don't give a damn.
Meanwhile debate continues about who is wrong or who is right.

Only thing that comes to my mind when im using some software is pros and cons.
If we as community, we as HAX ignore this issue and let *noobs, morons, oportunists* to keep on going with this charade, we have to watch our backs.
That's a community is for. Me as moderator as @GregoryRasputin @DEFAULTDNB @japsander and many other keep track on certain threads and try our best to keep CLEAN Hax from scammers and morons.

So if you see ANYTHING that you don't like about this = Report it.
To give us more info about who are the ones making shaddy moves on our OWN community.

very good post i hate the fact that people can "steal" as i would put it ids from ofw ps3's i know i would smash my OFW ps3 if i was perma banned because someone on a cfw got banned

The Buying of a console Id is not a good idea. What if that person also sold it to several other people..... then one gets banned.

Great idea, but how will you verify certain people legally own a ConsoleID they're offering to sell in the B/S/T section, as opposed to someone stealing them?

If that person is offering more than 5 to 10 console ID's. I doubt he get them legally.
If one person is offering 2 or 3 on b/s/t section. Eventually someone will notice and report who is the one making *dirty* business.

I suggested that section because anyone can sell and anyone can perform some background check about certain user.

I doubt will work tough..but at least is something.

I have 3 console id's from my own dead ps3's and I will not give(not sell) them out unless a proven dev wants them.

Noobs and online hackers need not apply.

Proof will need to be shown that these id's are going to be used for a good cause or no deal.

Results need to be made public too...

But truth to be told we don't know true intentions will behind the one who is selling/trading or just donating those ID's.

Hard to keep track of all this but on b/s/t could be done.
