Maybe your right the ps3 fail from me once but it was working with no problem before downgrading
Break fuse while downgrading !! impossible

Today I was working on 2003b model and I found that there is a missing fuse on my ps3
the missing one is shown in the pic
Do you think it's the cause of my problem !

I do not know if it will help, but this is not a fuse it is a resistor i think, try to measure the ones around it and see if you can find it on a local store.
@Mr.Dutch can you help with this mater and how he can do to fix this missing resistor

it is a capacitor if you ask me, if i'm correct then the left side is connected to ground (other side of the board)
it can be a 100nF, or a tantal capacitor that can have any value. (depends on size)

if you look at the schematics for the fat ps3, you see enough capacitors marked as XX , what means that you won't find them on the board, but the solder points will be there....

EDIT: after a final thought i'm judging it as a 100nF, those parts are there to keep the power as stable as possible at all time, so i really wonder if one of those are missing that it will make a difference

good we have Mr.Dutch on board..he's the fuse master...really "seems" to know his stuff on that area....he got a bit of high res image fetisch...but nothing wrong with that
sometimes real good pointers for electric/multimeter stuff for noobs like us..when he post u can't help believing him...lucky i never needed it though
