New Fan

Hello guys.
My fan is dead. Can you suggest me any other solutions? Here in Greece an external fan is more cheap than the internal. Is it enough good just an external? Also if i buy an 140mm fan (like those for pc) and try to power them from outside and be always on, is it good idea?

External won't be good enough. How is the fan dead? Are you sure it's not just a faulty connection?

No the fan is dead (not even in coma). I tried to see if it works and with 12V from another supply and connected with a usb to see if it works. (my dad did all these things above and I believe him when he says that is not working at all).
So I want an alternative to keep my ps3 cool (very cool)

you know the fan have 3 wires right? , connecting +12V to the brown wire and ground - to the black wire, the fan will spin for a split second.

if you add a 3,3V to the grey wire (PWM), the fan will spin at full speed...

if you did this allready then yes your fan is dead.
