Tested Iris Manager v1.51 with updated ps1_emu_patched2.self. XMB VMC Save works in MC1. Which means you can add code/save with codebreaker.

Awesome work Estewald!

So i don't see any comparing, i only see people choosing to pick an Open Source Backup Manager instead of a closed Source multi tool.
Well, your yourself compared them in the news post and thus again in this reply and then forum members continued to compare the two - that is why I asked about #1.

I'm not sure of the exact arrangements or motivating factor(s) that led to DeanK releasing a Cobra only version of Mm and it's really none of my business. Besides I do not own a Cobra Dongle so it's not use to me. Regarding the semantics I tend not to care about much other then "Can I use this?".

A bit greedy I admit, but I don't see many faces sticking up for any other cause, but for themselves. If it can be used to serve a purpose that I require then I'll use it. It's not like I see people throwing their PS3/360 systems away because they were made in modern sweat shops populated basically by new-age slave labour.

I just tend to imagine the masses (the people who let this happen by purchasing PS3/360's) working in such conditions and smile; just as you probably imagine not to nice things for those you have distaste for.

As for #2 which you decided not to address I was thinking - Both Iris & mM are pretty small (filesize), but when you start adding cover collections and such Iris can get just as large as mM. I know this because I have HD covers for most consoles including the PS3 and PS1. However, even if Iris with covers is 900MB or mM with covers is 1100MB I still see why such small file sizes would be a deciding factor when a single game can be 100x the size of the tool used to launch it. So with or without covers I still do not understand why the very small difference in file size matters *unless* it's just being used along with what you outlined to help demonize mM.

Granted, if you agenda is to bash mM then by all means; go on. I can't say I agree with you, but it's a forum so one should be able to speak their mind. No harm done.

ok odd question , went to test DBZ legends with the new v2 , and it gave a bunch of error messeges then hangs on black screen O.o

I deleted old patched file in folder and put the v2 one where the old patched one was in imanager4 folder. was that correct? or do I keep both self files there?

EDIT: nvm reset ps3 and it loaded it fine ^_^ lol, still locks up when entering fight though

I'm not gonna use it. The first argument they have is a lie. 'The only manager kept up to date' yeah right... Multiman didn't get updated few days ago oh right

multiMAN isn't a backup manager, it is a multi purpose tool.

Any ideas why iris keeps looking at hdd0 and completely ignores usb000 when I try to point it at where my ps3 games are stored?

Iris reads the drive and all the psx games but ignores the games folder and never asks to look in usb000 for my ps3 games. It's a bit strange Multiman has no issues locating my games. It's probably something so minor it's right under my nose and can't see it.

Try renaming the GAMES folder to GAMEZ
