i prefer WD for internal HDD's
n Seagate fr external hdd's.

i gt abt half a dozen seagate backup plus 3.0, all works like a charm on my ps3s & pcs.
also got 3 yrs warranty to go with it.


btw, seagate internal hdd r very problematic in my part of d world.
so fr internal hdd i use WD.

Try and format it again. Put the allocation unit size at 32768.

You could also try and connect it to the PS3 with a USB hub.

Use this format.exe. Set allocation unit size to 65536.

Then post back, so we can prove @Mindfreez3 is doing something wrong.

@playerkp420 , Still no response. My Passport is blinking like there's activity and quietly beeping. I tried to disable VCD but most of the tutorials were for the 2010 model and can't be implemented the same way. If it wasn't for the fact that I can return this I would throw it against the wall.

Any help or suggestions of known working ext hdd's is appreciated

What is your External HDD? Some are not compatible

Try plugging it into a hub. I had to do that before with one.

But after formatting with that tool, I got it to work.

I guess I am just lucky I have not come across the drive you guys have.
