Hey guys I hope I can get some advices here. At the moment I have a ROgero 4.30 on my PS3 I've tried to play 4 games so far but only 1 witch I installed as a pkg worked. My bdd is broken so I'm wondering if there is any CFW that actually is recommended for a ps3 with a broken bdd.

Games tried:
Red dead redemption
DmC
Resident evil 6

Game worked installed as a pkg:
Resident evil 6 RUS pack.

I really need some help I got my ps3 for a really good offer because of its bdd problem and I live In the Caribbean so fixing it is not the ideal at the moment.

Well, maybe you should have thought of such possibilities before you bought it really cheap, don't you think?

I don't really feel like helping you tbh.
I want to help people with a problem that NEEDS help. I do not want to help someone that sees a good bargain for a faulty product, and expect others can help them with it. IF you buy it, you should IMHO be prepared for that yourself, or otherwise not buy it.

Anyway, whatever... You don't give a **** anyway. Have a go and eat the blue pill and understand what the problem is, instead of just searching for a fix.
Most games cannot run discless, hence you need a disc in the drive, even if you play games from HDD. here is a list of games that can run discless http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List

There is also a guide in here on how to run any game discless, which only needs a USB dongle to act as BD emulator, if I remember right. I probably do not, I have never utilized that myself, but thats a solution for you. Search around for it yourself. I recall you have to be on DEX firmware ( or rebug - rebug might be possible... I actually think it is) to use it.

Finally, Cobra (yes, you will have to buy the dongle.........) FW runs games discless... it probably just boils down to the fact that the Cobra FW uses the Cobra dongle in a way, similar to what I explained before that needs a USB stick. You won't have to go through a ten-step guide to make your own BD emulator USB pen if you buy one... You will, however, have to pay out more in that case, heheh which I could understand was the problem..

Lol same. All I see is a harmless noob who took a bargain and wanted to know if there happened to be a cfw out that would benefit broken BD drives

Dont worry I would have bought a ps3 with a broken BD drive at the right price aswell and it would actually be a bargain since there are ways to play games discless

I know, sorry friends. I had a really bad day yesterday. I should refrain myself from writing then. ._.

It was my birthday yesterday, and I spent it on a cold stairway.... That kinda ruined the mood for me.

Basically, I have been contacting this guy on ebay for 2 weeks, about some really cheapass unused HDD for my PS3... An offer I couldnt refuse, especially since me and my ex-girlfriend moved from each other on the 23. of January... And she took the HDDs with her.

Anyway, this ebay guy was the worst guy ever at responding. I cannot possibly imagine, how you can be so bad at answering, if you actually wanna sell something.
Anyway, he wrote on my birthday, while I was just running around - cleaning up after yesterdays furniture moving anyway, that I could come and pick it up... IF I came now... So I hurried out of the door, out in the snow, after verifying my phones battery level...
My phone is an i**** (iPhone) 3GS, which battery (that is btw unchangeable) has become so deteriorated by now, that it apparently faults when it gets cold.. I have witnessed that a few times now, so I am starting to understand it is due to coldness...
When I came to his address, it was in a ghetto, and the building had multiple floors... and I did not memorize the floor (I am SO bad at remembering, so I only remembered his address as it was a first priority.. the other problem could come later, when it was relevant), so I took up my phone, and it just shorted out or something, because it was cold....
For the next 30 minutes, I was standing inside the entrance just before the staircase (I couldn't access that... you know doortelephones and stuff), and rubbing my phone between my cold fingers... From the outside, if anyone had walked by (and some might have), it would have looked like I would have entered into the glassentrance of the building and started wanking ._.
Anyway, got it powered on and got my HDD from Tony

Should have powered my phone off after that anyway... The mood was kinda... quite low. I am sorry @VieiraKowiel for any mood I might have ruined.
Hope the rest of my post was useful anyway though. And that it shows I have some good inside my.

From now on, I'll try better only to bash posts with stupid "when is 3k and 4k playstations gonna get CFW" and "can I hack my playstation?" and I'll try to troll with an annoying, but friendly smile.

i thought i always the one that had a bad day seems u got some to..welcome to the club the world is **** i feel u...and in a smal way agree with u....buying cheap/broken stuff...its assumed one can fix this else u wouldn't buy it..then again so many folks onboard...for every problem there's someone willing to help

That was a little harsh, but i feel sorry for your mood swing situation, i would be annoyed as well. Anyway i've never said that i wouldn't fix the bluray drive, as i mentioned i live in the Caribbean (not U.S Virgin Islands) and for sure i would end up with another console driver on my Ps3 , in June i'll be back in Europe and than i can fix it, i was just looking for a temporary solution to enjoy the console the way it can be enjoyed.

nvm my problems...i do it without pills and life is good..still doesn't change the fact the world is *** ..but hey look on the bright side of live..it's a song right
