PSN emergency work
OK after having issues with the PSN I decided to give Sony a call. The man on the phone said that they were doing some "emergencey work" on the PSN and said there was no time frame for when this work will be completed. I then asked if it was because of the new update (2.41 ???), and he said he wasnt sure what they were doing, and said that the problems were likely to have been cause because of the recent 2.40 f/w update.
Common problems:
This video shows me as online when i wasnt signed in, and it shows everyones comment is the same (if you look closely, the video quality is a bit crap) YouTube - PS3 2.40 PSN bug/glitch IF anyone is having these problems I suggest you try signing in on another account or jsut dont play today and hope that it gets fixed soon.

this new firmware does seem really buggy,dont know whether or not to be happy about it.

As Nickmitch mentioned in his previous thread, I too have had Lag and PSN problems. Today, one of my mates appeared online. But, he's in Australia atm without access to a PS3. :S
This is error number 1. Also, I have been unable to play Call of Duty 4 or Burnout Paradise online due to the immense Lag which both Games suffer as a result from the 2.40 upgrade. If this isn't fixed by 2.41, my Dad's gonna be on the phone to Sony!

I hope this bugs/lags/issues... make an easier job for hackers... its about time that sony had some serious problems...
