@Fratgiolo
I'm running the duplex release, had it on all day today. Saved a bunch, have done all quest upto point I'm at in game and no issues. Cept the lag getting back to open world that mentioned a couple times back in thread. I'm running it from mm with bd mirror on and using 4.30 rebug. Even tried with Iris, and no issues cept the minor one I mentioned.

It's not just the DUPLEX version. I have the US version backed up now (from my disc). When I play with the disc in, it runs forever with no issues.
Took the disc out so the fiance could play it, and 15 minutes later I locked up. It's an issue running it from the HDD. |

I'm running it on external, with a disc in drive like I always have when playing games. Just reset it and tried without bdmirror and now the after battle in open world issue I was having is not present O.o
If your trying to run this game discless that may be the problem

Okay, I just got the latest news and I want to inform you guys over here. It has been confirmed by a user on PS3hax that the US rip also freezes. He purchased his legit copy and ripped it himself. However, when he plays directly from the disc, the game runs fine.
Second news, a guy on PS3iso is claiming that the game works fine with BDemu. I am embarrassed to admit that I don't know how to enable BDemu or what it is... so can someone confirm it? Final news, a couple of guys on PS3Repack have downloaded the PSN version of Ni No Kuni and according to initial reports it is running fine. It seems the freezing problems only occurs when you try to run a rip (BLES or BLUS) from HDD. It may be some kind of anti-piracy measure. Since PSN version is made for HDD, it very likely that it will run perfectly fine. However, as of now you need ReActPSN to run PSN version of Ni No Kuni and you will need to transfer the game via FTP because of the large size. I hope this information helps others and we can all enjoy this beautiful game hassle-free in the end. |

. I'm also sure the problem only belongs to the backup copies of the games. |

************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Okay, according to a "senior member" on PS3iso some progress has been made for fixing the DUPLEX release. He mentioned that running the game from Iris Manager with the BDEmu option on, fixes the freezing issues. He provided a detailed tutorial so I am posting it here. If this works then it will save us from downloading 21 GB again and losing progress. 1. Copy the libfs.sprx from your PS3 and paste it on your usb flash drive, ext hdd or via FTP. 2. Copy and paste the libfs.sprx inside the "patch_tools_ps1emu_libfs" folder which is included in the IRIS MANAGER 4 v1.52 package (Grab the Full package to get these files..) 3. Grab the keys, ldr_curves and vsh_curves from the "TrueAncestor SELF Resigner v1.85" and put them inside the "data" folder located in "patch_tools_ps1emu_libfs" folder. 3. Run the "patch_libfs.bat" inside the "patch_tools_ps1emu_libfs" folder and wait until the "libfs_patched.sprx" is made. 4. Copy "libfs_patched.sprx" and paste it on your usb flash drive or ext hdd. 5. Plug your ext hdd or flash drive on your PS3 and copy and paste the "libfs_patched.sprx" to "/dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER4/". 6. Open IRIS Manager on your PS3. Choose a game (Ni No Kuni) and press "SELECT" on your PS3 Controller to open the Game Option. 7. Turn ON the BD Emu and play. :D According to the poster who is a "senior member", his game has been running fine for hours and he has fought several battles.
