u have same problems?

for MM..please read thepost...BARE is enough..he made it to not install previous version..ofcourse no covers etc....so 04.17.00 or 0.4.14 etc....all the same..the go up with a BARE one....only with UPDATE..u cannot skip any

Thanks Haz367 I hope it is the ribbon. I did whip the HDD out and give it a full format on my PC was one of the first things that Paul recommended to do. Should have the ribbon on Monday I shall post to keep the forum updated. Gives me a good reason not to think about it for a couple of days.😳

got myself that nand here = rlod...warmloper

after checking here on my own..i declear myself a totalnoob
cuse the only thing tested...where those famous wassers ringen to put underneath te 4 black screws...no result..must quit cuse have no clue on the rest....these guys are for sure real PRO's as messing with NAND must be difficult..how one can solder on those tiny nand legs..woha

Arrgh it ain the ribbon. This is doing my nut in now. Is it worth me trying a different cfw? An d the quote ref going from cex to dex could this work. I am willing to try anything out at the moment.

ay..weird problem that is...anyway some questions and things to try:

does the BD drive works >> plays anything?

what firmware ur on?

u can instal anything at all..or nothing?

did u tested a "full format" using HDD low level format
( use option as showing in screenshot..make sure to select correct HDD! and untick the "quik" box = real full format)

test the HDD after this and the PS3 wil ask u to re-install the firmware, then install the same as ur on..so make sure ur on a correct one and not a "downgrader" e.g kmeaw just bare 3.55 one

works now? >> installing stuff?

fails again....is the HDD bad >> bad sectors? switch for another HDD and try again

fail again? man this is a b*tch

don't mess with cex2dex..totally not required!

ur on DEX firmware? don't think so..but asking anyway!
then make sure to use the DEX version of MM and the rest also(fself's) else u get that error!

brain empty now...goodluck on the fix
