Ps3 switches itself off

I have a slim CECH 2504A model with cwf.
When i turn it shuts itself off after 2-3 seconds and the power goes down when i push the button again the red light comes on (not blinking) and this process repats. No yellow light or blinking red light has been seen. What should i do now ?

i did read many posts of the exact problem you have, not one of them had a faulty psu, also no one solved the problem.

it can be a short somewhere on the mainboard, we found out that a short on one of the usb ports can also cause these symptoms.

.
an you think sony will send it back repaired with your cfw?

can you measure both usb ports if there's a short?
at least you don't have to take the ps3 apart to do this.

It doesn't seem like a overheating problem as it shuts off in seconds. Fan looks OK and i live in a quite cool region so the ps3 is cool.

yes it supose to shut down it self
you see i asked you to check the fan because the fan cools the cpu thats why its placed on top the CPU and since the ps3 has a MONSTER living in it that monster *CPU* gets so hot that you can acctually coock on it
its normal thats why the fan is placed on top of it and and try blowing all the dust away if you open your ps3 blow air on the fan and try the self cleaning thing that ps3 can do

the easiest way is to cut an old usb cable, plug it into one of the ports and measure the resistance between the red and black wire, if the port is ok you should read 1Kohm (1000ohm).
do this with both ports.

unplug your ps3 before doing this, although i do not think it will make a difference.

now i know, there's no reason to think anything is wrong with the ports, but we know the ps3 will react this way if there's a short there.
