I deleted my backup and game data from internal and now I am playing it from external now with external option checked in the settings. The game is running fine now without any freezes. :-)

Please help me on this, there is so much old stuff and tutorials but...how do you get the game to run from external? what are the programs and steps? I'm tired of this freeze issue and just want to enjoy the game. thanks!
EDIT: Nevermind, following some old guides to see if they still apply. Going to give it a shot. I'll report back my findings as well about freezing once I figure out how to run it from external. Last edited by klown07; 01-25-2013 at 05:20 PM. |

Thanks! Yeah the tutorial I found says basically the same thing. I didn't have any mini flash drive that would fit Ni No Kuni so I'm currently transferring all my PS3 games from my 1TB external HDD to my PC. Then I will format the 1TB to FAT32 and put Ni No Kuni on it in the GAMES folder. I have a lot of games so the transferring is taking awhile, fortunately it is usb 3.0. Can't wait to give this a shot. Thanks again for your help

If I was to play and it froze and forced a format, what exactly would I lose? Would I have to do all the CFW stuff again or just lose my games/save files?
Thanks

ooo, what do I need to backup my internal drive with ftp?
I don't have a big enough external drive but my pc has plenty of space so that would be very useful :D

You can use multiman built-in ftp just to keep it simple and then use a client like FlashFXP or Filezilla from your pc to connect to the PS3 and backup all your stuff.

Well I plugged my ps3 into modem for first time ever (got 2 ps3's)
Didn't really wanna plug the CFW one in but had to in order to ftp into it XD Is there a risk that It could get banned now that It's connected to the net? |
