Hi all. Clearly I am new here if I am posting here. Honestly, I probably wont post much on here. I am no hacker or system moder by far. I have multiple PS3 consoles however and am considering hacking/modding one of them. I am interested to know what the benefits of doing this are and what the best way to do this is. What I am looking to do it unlock everything on COD and emulate SNES, PS2 and PS1 so that I may download the games from torrent sites to play them. I'm sure there are probably other things I can do, but I don't really know what there is to do. Any help that anyone could offer would be appreciated. This is my first attempt at something like this as it seems interesting to me. Thanks for readying.

Hi and welcome Peradox, you will need to post the model number of your consoles and what firmware they are on for people to help you further.

play downloaded games, run homebrew (emulators and other sh!t),
possibility to hack/mod games, still play online on psn/sen (atm)

black ops 2 will get your a$$ banned really fast, dont try it,
mw3 and mw2 are no problem, never tried bo1...

and emulate SNES, PS2 and PS1

snes and ps1 possible, ps2 only when downloaded from psn or if your console backwards compatible (old phat)


but to do this, there are 2 possibilities, either you have a ps3 with fw < 3.55 or you have a ps3 which is possible to downgrade to 3.55
