so it can be anything then, from a short somewhere on the mainboard, to a broken fuse or damaged parts,
like i said before , enough people that are having this issue, but none solved, so we can only guess. |

I'm 100% sure it is only a brick. YLod --> Yellow Light, Bad Power Supply --> The Red light wouldn't come back if you would press once again power.
Have you got a Nor Dump (Backup) of your Console? I hope so because you must have an E3 Flasher/Progskeet and flash back your dump(backup) If you don't have a backup, use an E3Flasher or Progskeet and backup your Nor. Now that you got a backup of a bricked nor, you should try to use a PS3 Nor Patcher and flash this back into your console. That might unbrick it ![]() Good luck on this :D Edit : You need to solder the Nor tristate and put E3 Flasher in Fun Mode to make the console stay on

open the ps3. open your power box. look to see if anything looks a bit burnt or off color. something blown in there could cause a short or flux in power. or try checking the solder on the mobo to make sure none of it has any chips or cracks. maybe you need a reflow

open it and check all the connections. ribbon cable and wires. if one isnt connected right it can mess ya up. also the blu ray ribbon cable on fat gets too hot under the drive sometimes and gets damaged. look to see if its got a silver metallic look in a certain place instead of its normal coating.
