a friend of mine recntly had a huge ordeal with ms and bestbuy. about a month ago and a month before the bestbuy warranty ended my friend took in his faulty 360. it wouldnt read discs and was randomly shutting off. so bestbuy took his old elite system and gave him a loaner system while he waited for repairs. bestbuy sent his system to someone in california, and not to the offical ms authorized repair center in texas.
few weeks later he gets his old "refurbished" system back, but he cant get it to dash update or get on xbl. he calls ms and sends them his refurbedsystem.another week goes by and they tell him his xbox has had the os from another system flashed on his unit and that they cant help him. also while that he can be perma account banned for having a modified system. he tells ms that bestbuy refurbed his unit under warranty but ms tell him it was unauthorized and he is sol. so after dealing with ms legal department he sees the bestbuy was in the wrong and they wouldnt help him either. after showing a bestbuy district manager the emails from microsoft legal department he finally just got a new slim in exchange for his flagged elite. also got a giftcard for the cost difference of his launch elite vs the slim. so we wanted to blow the whistle on bestbuy for shady buisness practices using a shady shop in cali that voids the ms warranty. anyone else have similar issues with bestbuy? c

wow I am shock. he should contacted Microsoft first and they took the system for repairs.

If BestBuy really doesn't know what they are doing, they should be doing it. All they'll be doing is pissing off customers.
