i was curious on something maybe someone can shed some light on. so we know that it works with a cpl demo elf files and the odd smaller random demo or file. however why has nobody developed a way to get it to allow firmware updates and whatnot since its got the hdd0? if the emu could be update to say 4.31 and could run a signed 3.41 demo or app would there not be a key exchange in there somewhere? and if done on pc would there not be a way to listen to that info and see it to find said key? i have no real idea im just curious

keeping in mind im aware the specs needed to try and have a fully working emu are out of the question. but just to emulate some sort of xmb may be possible? no gameplay needed.

if the key exchange was done on the pc wouldnt it display in the elf dialogue box like a game or demo does tho? or say you emulate an xmb on 3.55 and set up all the folders not just the hdd0 and then update to 4.31 to get a fully authentic 4.31 on the pc. then run say a game from the blu ray drive and sniff there? or maybe even fun netflix or hulu since it has to be signed to work

or on a less serious note.. if one were to run linux on the ps3. and run the emu on the ps3 via linux with access to all hardware on the ps3. would the emulator function faster and with more stability?
